From level 66, you will have the ability to find the witch’s secret lair!
The witch gives you more gold and eventually will be able to sell scrolls so we can enchant our items. Read on to find out how!
She’s available by clicking the Inconspicuous book in the magic shop:
Then you see the witch’s home:
Each day she asks for a different type of item. If you sell the right type of item to her, you get more gold than the other stores would give you. You can even throw in items that have been through the toilet. You get no gold, but it charges up her cauldron. I’ll post about the toilet another day.
Secondly, the Collected percentage at the bottom increases. This total is based on all items that have been sold to the witch across the whole server. It’s not an individual thing, rather every person on the server contributes to it.
Once 100% is reached, the witch needs 24 hours to complete the ritual. After that she will start to sell scrolls that you can use to enchant an item!
If you’re looking at the witch and you can’t see the scrolls, minimise your inventory by clicking the red rope. I’ll add pictures later.
- Scrolls are available to everyone, no matter how many items they sold to the witch
- One random scroll is made available every time the witch gets enough items
- Each scroll will affect one item (weapon, ring, etc) except the shield
- Each player can buy each scrolls as many times as they want to, paying the gold cost every time a new item is enchanted
Item type | Effect | Notes |
Headgear | 10 XP bonus per quest | This is a multiplicative 10% bonus. That is, it occurs after all other bonuses. If you would normally get 100,000 XP from a quest, with this enchantment you will gain 110,000 XP. The bonuses are not shown when you accept the quest. |
Chest armour | +50% chance to find mushrooms | I believe this affects all quests |
Gloves | 1 reaction boost (higher strikes first) | I think this affects arena fights. If you have the enchantment and your opponent doesn’t, you strike first. I’m not sure when/if the reaction boost goes above 1. |
Footwear | 30 seconds less travel duration | All quests start with 30 seconds time elapsed. A 2:30 quest takes 2:00, a 10:00 quest takes 09:30. This does not reduce the amount of thirst that quests use! |
Weapon | 5% more damage on a critical hit | I believe this puts the crit hit damage up to 205% of your base damage. If you have 50% crit hit, this increases your average damage by 1.67%. |
Amulet | +10% chance to find items | I believe this means that if you take a quest with no item reward, there’s a 10% chance you get one anyway |
Belt | Can drink 1 more beer per day | Allows you to drink 11 beers and use 320 thirst |
Ring | 10 gold bonus per quest | This is a multiplicative 10% bonus. That is, it occurs after all other bonuses. If you would normally get 10,000 gold from a quest, with this enchantment you will gain 11,000 gold. The bonuses are not shown when you accept the quest. |
Talisman | Up to 20% more gold in arena fights | I’m not sure what “up to” means here … |
